- Remove the e.p.t. Pregnancy Test stick from the foil wrapper. Use the test stick right away.
- Remove the purple cap to expose the absorbent tip.
- Hold the test stick by its thumb grip.
- Keep the absorbent tip pointing downward.
- Throughout testing, never hold the test stick with the absorbent tip facing upward.
- Urine Stream: Do not insert the test stick. Place just the absorbent tip, pointing downward, in your urine stream for 5 seconds only. After sampling, keep the absorbent tip pointing downward. Never hold the test stick with the absorbent tip facing upward.
- Urine Cup Test: Collect a sample of your urine in a clean, dry container. Dip just the absorbent tip into your collected urine sample for 20 seconds only. After sampling, keep the absorbent tip pointing downward. Never hold the test stick with the absorbent tip pointing upward.
- Place the test stick on a flat surface with the windows facing up for at least 2 minutes. If you wish, replace the cap to cover the absorbent tip.
How accurate is the e.p.t. early pregnancy test?
The e.p.t. Early Pregnancy Test is more than 99 percent accurate* in laboratory tests, when used from the first day of your expected period. If you are testing earlier than the day of your expected period, then the accuracy of e.p.t. Early Pregnancy Test will be lower.
*Over 99 percent accurate from the day of expected period at detecting the pregnancy hormone. However, some pregnant women may not have detectable amounts of the pregnancy hormone in their urine on the first day of their expected period, or may have miscalculated the first day of their period.
How does e.p.t. early pregnancy test work?
When you are pregnant your body produces the pregnancy hormone hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotropin). The amount of hCG in your body increases in the early stages of pregnancy. e.p.t. Early Pregnancy Test can detect tiny amounts of this hormone in your urine.
When can I use the test to determine if I am pregnant?
You can use the e.p.t. Early Pregnancy Test before you expect your period to start. If you test early and the result is a (-) sign, there is still a chance that you might be pregnant.
When can I test with e.p.t. early pregnancy test?
If you are testing before you expect your period to start we recommend you test with you first urine of the day. Otherwise, you can use e.p.t. Early Pregnancy Test at any time of the day. To work out when your period is due, calculate you usual cycle length by counting the number of days from the first day of your period until the day before your next period starts.
What if the lines in the round and square window are different shades of blue?
It does not matter if one line is fainter or darker than the other. The result must be read within 10 minutes of performing the test.
I have used the test but no blue line has appeared in the square window. What should I do?
If there is no blue line in the square window within 10 minutes, the test has not worked. This may be because too much or too little urine has been used; or the absorbent tip was not kept pointing downward or the test stick was not laid flat after the urine was applied.
